“2021 is as stoked in surf as the rush of getting married. As early as January, my then fiancé proposed to me, and we decided to get wed in May. We got overwhelmed, though, with the preparation in the midst of shifting lockdown restrictions as well as our busy working lives to finally move it in July.
I was in a haste looking for suppliers for the wedding of our lifetime. Of course, I was eager to make it happen the way we want to tell and share our love story through reflecting our values. For us, we go for a DIY wedding, incorporating our very own – local suppliers embellishing our love story.
First on my to-do list was to look for our rings! I took it as a sign that things would go smoothly as a hands-on wedding planner and bride-to-be when I first contacted the first-ever supplier for our wedding – Love, Kat, and Jay. Truly, this is one love story to tell.
In my hunt for the best wedding rings, I browsed many Facebook and Instagram pages of local jewelry makers. Love, Kat, and Jay was one that got me so interested on my list after crossing out a buffet of names. The response was a swift one for Love, Kat & Jay, however, after knowing that we might not be able to meet the base budget, I had to step back and ask if they could accommodate us.
Just when I thought that it wasn’t meant to be, Love, Kat & Jay just rang the church bells and opened the door wide open to take us on board! Kilig moment! After a series of meetings, my husband and I were in awe about two things that Love, Kat & Jay really must be known for. As a Filipino brand that has a love for love stories and love for couples sharing their love.
First, it would be hard for strangers to be just straight away emphatic. But, I believe that it takes soulful people to be able to listen and connect deeply even as strangers in hearing out our story, our thoughts, and our feelings made from miles away and way back in time. Second, this deep connection completely captured every bit of our narrative and translated it into fine wedding rings – told through the intricate and intimate curves and crevices of Love, Kat & Jay’s design.
Our love for surf and our story beautifully captured and molded into rings is our constant reminder of how we were and came to be. Grateful to Love, Kat & Jay for writing down our very own narrative through an all-original, raw yet graceful pair of wedding rings.
